My Gravity Girls is a genre-defying indie-alternative rock band with a unique blend of folk, alternative and electronic influences. Since their formation near Parma (IT) in 2012, they have evolved from their folk rock roots into intimate albums deeply linked to the international alternative world such as “Irrelevant Pieces Pt.1 & Pt.2” and “I Miss Something And Miss Everyone”.
The new release which will slowly be revealed in 2024 across 4 separate EPs, “Silly, Dizzy, Guilty, Joy” promises a metaphorical journey through love and loss, sailing from the carefree shores of “Silly” to the tumultuous seas of “Dizzy ”, the dark cliffs of “Guilty” to the radiant beaches of “Joy”.
“Silly” is the first EP and consists of 4 tracks that well represent the sound world between indie-rock, alternative and singer-songwriter with a strong vintage flavor given by the great abundance of analogue synthesizers and the production completely made on an analogue desk.
The first three singles released, Cross-Lines, Silly, Nike have already been noticed by various playlists specialized in the discovery of new sounds between indie and alternative and the new single LOOP that allows the publication of the EP is about to continue building the sequel to the band through the classic press and radio channels as well as obviously on social media and streaming platforms.
Known for their eclectic and difficult to define sound, My Gravity Girls intertwine electronic experimentation with dark folk dreams and airy indie-rock constructions in an intricate way that only appears at first glance, creating an emotional and evocative musical experience. The band continues to push the boundaries of their music, redefining their sonic universe that appears very modern and vintage at the same time.
